(Itar-Tass) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Naryshkin has arrived in Tokyo to meet with senior officials and take part in opening the Festival of Russian Culture.
On Monday, Naryshkin will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Foreign Minister Taro Aso, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki and former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, who co-chairs the festival’s organizing committee.
The festival will be opened on July 2 with a performance of the Moscow State Chamber Choir conducted by Vladimir Minin.
Last year’s Festival of Russian Culture was met with a standing applause in Japan’s 154 cities and towns.
