Russian resort city, Sochi, will host the Winter Olympics in 2014. The Olympics 2014 host city was announced during an official ceremony last night in Guatemala. Russian First Channel broadcasted the event live.
Three cities were competing for hosting the Winter Olympics in 2014, namely, Sochi (Russia), Saltsburg (Austria) and PyeongChang (South Korea). Saltsburg was the last one in the round and left the field, making Sochi and PyeongChang coming to the run-off.
