XXII Winter Olympic games will pass in Sochi from February, 7 till February, 23rd, 2014.
Within the limits of preparation of Sochi for Olympic Games of 2014 two Olympic villages will be constructed , the main of which will settle down at the coast of Black sea, and the additional - in mountains. At building the most strict international norms in the field of ecology will be considered. The Olympic park of Sochi will be located at coast of Black sea in Imeretinsky lowland. Any of sports constructions is not constructed yet. All design works on Olympic objects it is planned to finish in the beginning of September, 2007 that already in the end of the year to begin their building. Building is supposed to be finished in 2013. In it will pass opening ceremonies and closings of the games, all competitions on the fads, and also ceremonies of rewarding of winners. In Olympic park will be located: The stadium, two ice arenas for hockey, the skating centre, an ice palace of sports, arena for the curling, two training arenas, the area for rewarding of the winners, an open skating rink, Olympic village, the media centre, hotel of members the IOC, economic buildings and the big screens for viewing of sports meets.
11 new sports objects will be grouped in two compact complexes. The average distance between coastal sports constructions and Olympic village will make 6 km, between mountain sports constructions and additional Olympic village - 4 km. Complexes will be on distance of 48 km from each other. The Olympic stadium of a city of Sochi will be constructed to XXII Winter Olympic games in Sochi in 2014 and located in Olympic park. At stadium opening ceremonies and closings of XXII Winter Olympic games will be spent. A prototype of external shape of stadium — the well-known masterpiece of jeweller art an Easter egg Faberge. As a part of stadium it is supposed to construct three covered tribunes. Modern constructions and hotels will allow to place the Olympic family and spectators on the Sochi Olympic Games in as much as possible comfortable conditions. They will give the chance to reduce to a minimum influence on environment and to provide high level of safety for faultless carrying out of the Olympic Games.
In Sochi the modern resort for sports, recreational and business tourism which can receive visitors all year long will be created. Building of the first mountain-skiing Russian resort answering to the international standards, with the developed infrastructure and possibilities for employment by winter kinds of sports is already conducted.
According to the Federal target program (ФЦП) creation of an Olympic infrastructure is supposed. Will carry out building state corporation Olimpstroj planned to creation. In sea port of Sochi the portable terminal which will allow to accept круизные vessels capacity of 3 thousand persons will be created, the terminal will settle down in 1,5 km from coast. The cargo area of port is planned to move from city centre. Also building hotel «Islands Federation» is planned.
